Historical Society Museum

The Springfield Historical Society Museum is the home to a wide variety of artifacts that are unique to the area and specifically to the city of Springfield.

The Historical Society Museum displays a pioneer home – a reconstructed six-room house, a Model Main Street – that depicts many of the types of businesses that were needed in a small town including: General Store, Barber Shop, Blacksmith Shop, City Jail Cell, and Bon Homme Post Office. There is also a collection of Antique Horse-Drawn Machinery, items from St. Mary’s School for Indian Girls, items from the local National Guard Unit, newspapers on microfilm and bound, doll collection and much more.

Springfield Historical Society Memberships help assist with ongoing costs such as utilities and building upkeep.
